***after the fact I realized i didn't post this thread in the right forum***

Hey Guys, my front suspension has been making some light creaking/popping sounds while turning lately and am taking it to my mechanic friday. I'm expecting to need to get some new parts. Would yall recommend any brands aside from Toyota for more heavy duty use? I carry about 1500lbs worth of equipment in the bed most of the time and do a ton of stop and go driving...1200+ miles most weeks. I'm not opposed to toyota parts at all! I'm just wondering if I should beef it up a bit more since I'm pushing the truck so hard. What has worked well for you guys?

You just have static weight in the bed and this is a work truck?

Is there anything in particular in terms of how the truck drives that you don't like?

    thanks, I'll look at those.
    Yes and yes :)

Not really, I'm fine with the ride quality etc. I just dont want expensive stuff breaking, it does sag quite a bit as well in the rear, would be nice to level it out a bit. I looked into adding leaf springs back there a long time ago but seemed like everything I found only for 4x4 tundras.

Do you have any pics of your truck?

Is that 1200lbs additional weight all the time? Like sitting in the driveway at night?

Popping while turning is most often CVs but due to that load in the back your best bet is a new leaf pack built to hold that weight

My mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with the front end but he got it aligned and said it was out quite a bit. I'm constantly coming up and off curbs.
Do you know of any companies that make leaf packs for the 2wd tundras?
I don't have any pics showing the sagging in the rear but I get the truck back in a few hrs and will post one when I do.

Dobinson's HD 5+2 leaf packs, Roadmaster Active Suspension HD kit are both great for weight and handling.

It doesn't matter if you drive 2 or 4WD, leaf packs are leaf packs (rear). Personally I recommend Alcan Springs in CO.
