On my 18 limited it will show what song you are playing on the gauge cluster along with the head unit. I was wondering if you replace the head unit with an aftermarket if the gauge cluster would still read what you are listening to, or will that just be blank?

    Tastefully enhanced...
If it's a newer HU, yes, it will broadcast what the radio signal is throwing out...my 05 4runner with a Pioneer HU shows/tells me what is playing...my OE radio on the 4runner was only lights and numbers...

Yes. As long as you use the Maestro harness, you’ll still have all the sources and stations, or whatever you’re listening to on the gauge cluster
