    I ordered mine on 1-28-22.
I kick myself in the ass for not ordering them in November when all this started.

Very good! From the sound of it you may be sitting on the Valhalla Shields for a while waiting on you cats. I wonder if your dealer would be willing to install the shields when they install the cats.

The dealer is supposed to put a shield on it.
Not sure who makes it, that was the plan when I dropped it off.

    pkw9bgwt_eb745684247e50931dabd49b2a253c1f23ee3dd1.jpg

But the more I researched Valhalla and saw he has a rear plate, I finally ordered his.
I'm not driving it off the dealer lot without some kind of shield unless I have the Valhallas at home
The theft happened at my employer's parking lot, where my truck sits for 12 hours a day.
7 more have been stolen since the first of the year.

If I get the Valhallas before I get the truck back, I'll cancel the dealer shield and take a day off to install them.
If not, I'll have the dealer install their shield, drive it until my Valhallas come in, and pull it off and sell it locally.

The entire ordeal has been a big PITA.
I actually should have bought Valhalla shields when they first came out.
None of this would have happened..

    If I had to count my blessings in all this;
Toyota is paying for the Tacoma rental/loaner, whatever the insurance doesn't pay which has a $1500 cap.
An insurance claim is paying for the cats and install, $7500 including their max on a rental.
I have the cash to buy the Valhallas..
AT least I have something to drive....

    My '05 has the 4.7L V8. The '22 I have on order has a V6.

You're entitled to you opinion, even when you're wrong. 1st Gen is the Best Gen.

Well, you're unable to change the past, unfortunately. You certainly have taken the right steps to prevent being victimized again.
My truck is somewhat safe in my driveway but not 100% safe. Still a target of opportunity to thieves cruising through just looking for cats to steal. When I'm at work, in the seedy part of Mesa, AZ, my truck is parked inside a block wall with concertina wire on it providing a little more security. I'm still highly concerned about theft though. I'm trying not to get too impatient waiting on them.

I’m in the camp that any Gen Tundra is the best truck to have over anything else.
Unless you really need a 1 ton or something specialized

    Ok!
    That’s enough!
    I have to ask…
Why do you keep putting beers on the grill?
I think it’s been asked before, but my one remaining brain cell refuses to remember.

I’m a smoker thru and thru, I’ll smoke anything! You never had smoked beer, as you can imagine, it’s a little dry!
Also my man hands don’t make for the best addition to photos. I haven’t smoked cheez-its yet, but apparent they got @Outbound vote!

Just visit AZ in June, you won’t need to put it in the grill for a test, just walk through a parking lot
