I just installed a volant cold air intake and was wondering if the banks pedal monster would be something I should do as well. Opinions. If there is a thread on this please lead me there.

They do completely different things. Look up "throttle controller" there are multiple threads on them. I think they are worth it. I got a reputable but more affordable one and I am completely happy. A coworker got the Banks for his Taco and he is really pleased. For what I wanted I couldn't justify the cost of the Banks but it definitely does things mine doesn't.

    Alot of them
I can tell you from experience that the Volant is a POS. The filter will come loose and fall off. Your low end torque and mpgs will suffer. I lost an average of 60 miles per tank when I had one. That garbage went in the trash.

#1 First thing you should not do>> buy a cold air intake. You already had one.

Which one did you get robert? I was open to the others and then I saw this in their marketing.

    Safety
PedalMonster is the ONLY throttle sensitivity device with ActiveSafety®. In the event of an internal or external circuit failure, the system seamlessly returns the pedal to stock. When all other devices fail, they leave the vehicle inoperable leading to dangerous situations. Imagine losing power while passing on a two-lane road while heading into oncoming traffic.

It made me wonder if this was really an issue or not. Circuit failure… The comparison table they have on their website is legendary lol and ahem… leaves the others in the dust. Like most products and new technology I like most on here, try to make the best decision for ourselves based on product quality and what we can afford. I was sold on the pedal commander but then read about the the circuit failure issue. Anyways $300 is a lot to spend on something that may just make the throttle response a little more tactile or available. Really just getting opinions.

@Iamdesigns I have the iDrive which is now called the ultimate9 I think. Company is EVC. One of our members talked with them at a parts expo and was really impressed with the amount of testing they did to back their product so it shouldn't have issues. The only issue I've heard with throttle controllers is putting you into limp mode, which is not ideal but shouldn't leave you going head first into oncoming traffic. I've only seen reports on the forum from folks having issues with PedalCommander. Does this mean the PC is bad, I don't think so. They also have the most people buying them.
I know a few folks with the iDrive and we got it for under 200 and I personally think it was money well spent. It drastically improves the response of the truck off the line and makes it more enjoyable to drive. HikeIt is also pretty popular and is similar price point. There are threads on both and I know we have a forum discount for iDrive.

I'm on my 3rd HikeIt. No issues whatsoever.
