TL;DR - I need to level the front end on my 2018 SR5 TRD.

Shortly after I got the truck, I had a Boss HTX plow put on. Shop that installed it mentioned that while the plow requires 14" clearance (I assume that's from the ground to the mount), they were only able to get 13.5" on my Tundra. And indeed, I do have a bit of trouble when trying to mount and dismount the plow from a lack of ground clearance. A friend of mine (Ford guy, but he's a good guy and my regular mechanic) says I just need a leveling kit not a lift kit.

But after reading all morning, I still have no clue what to even get. This is only the second truck I've ever had - I'm a biker, not a truck guy! I really have no idea what I'm looking for here. Can anyone steer me to a good leveling kit?

Are you wanting to just raise the front or change the suspension? If you just want to raise the front there are many options depending how much. CoachBuilder sells shims that slide in up front (you remove the front shock assembly and the shims just slide over the 4 bolts, then you bolt it back up) he has a few different sizes so you can get what you need. I got the ones to gain an inch up front and I've had no issues. This is also an affordable solution, should be less than 100 for 2 shims (1 on each side).
