2015 5.7 engine noise.

Have a 2015 platinum tundra just recently started having an issue if i let the truck sit for an extended period of time and start it up it sounds like sporadic burst of air coming from the front of the engine almost like a skipping noise. Even with A/C off it does this only 30 sec to 1 min max after start up then its fine. Its a very hard noise to explain and it also gets louder when revving engine. This noise drives me insane because it seems to only do it when I'm in a hurry and never when I actually have time to look for it.

 

Exactly how long do you consider an extended sit?

Car Care Nut on youtube has a Tundra deep dive video you can search for. He notes that after long sits, the truck will have a noisy startup and recommends letting it full warm up in this case before driving. He explains why this happens but I can't remember. I'll see if I can find the video.

He starts talking about the issue at 11:30 mark. Not sure if this is your issue.

 

Just a few hours and its just recently started this noise ive owned this truck for 4 years and its a very drastic noise
