Hi, I’ve noticed a pretty hard shift and some slight slipping with my tundra lately, and in anticipation of my tranny shittin out I’ve been thinking about a replacement. I want to swap in a domestic manual, particularly an nv4500 or zf5, obviously I would still like to keep it 4wd. Any advice or other thoughts/options for me to look into? Any advice particularly surrounding how exactly to swap(bell housings input shafts adapter plates pressure plates and computer issues?)

This sounds like quite a task but something I'm curious about as well. One of those "if only I had the money and tools and knowledge then I'd love to swap in an NV4500" daydreamy projects.
