So how does the TRD exhaust differ from Borla. I had Borla on my 2007 from the factory and really liked it....not too loud but sounded good when you stepped on it. How does the TRD duel exhaust compare?

Borla is 2” duals. Too small. Robs power.

Trd is 2.5” duals. Too big and no crossover. Loses low end torque.

The stock 2 3/4” tailpipe is just right. The muffler is the restriction.

This tundra exhaust will jot have drone, will gain low end torque, will gain overall power, and can be as loud or as quiet as you want:

@dirtydeeds would be the way to go..
It is widespread posted all over this forum how awesome Keith and @dirtydeeds is for Tundra exhaust..

I'm running one of his systems now...

Call him and he will hook you up depending on your wants and needs..
You aren't getting that personal service from Borla or Toyota for the TRD..

Thanks guys size info and very impressive info from the website. So it sounds like what you are saying is dual pipes are going to cut performance by some degree no matter what then? Also what happens to the sound above 65mph? I tow a boat once a week but no more than 2 hours each way and imagine it would be louder when doing that like my Borlas were.

Correct. Quiet the rest of the time. But loud when going easy on the throttle.

the systems in the link are the opposite. Quiet the rest of the time. But aggressive when on the throttle.

this makes it ‘there’ when you want it. Yet ‘gone’ when it’s not appropriate.
