    You can tell the traction control and torque management nannies are holding it back. Typical Toyota fun kill “safety” systems in place.

    Yep it's just like the new Lexus NX with their new 2.4 turbo best in class torque 317lb but it's one of the slowest crossover out there.

    what I can't believe is how they are using nickel metal hydride for the electric drive battery.

    That is the same late 90's technology used in Prius Gen 1! Even Ford is using newer battery tech, lithium ion.

    Tsk, tsk toyota, selling us 25 year old technology at a Very Premium price. I guess we'll see newer technology in the next update about 15 years from now...
