I installed the TRD exhaust on my Tundra back in mid December 2021. I live in SE Pa and have to deal with salt/brine so before installation, I did the three step POR 15 process – degreaser, etching, and paint. I put about three coats of paint on the pipes and allowed at least 24 hours in between coats. I followed the initial curing process and had over a month of heating/cooling cycles before our first snow this weekend.

Top picture is what a day of driving in salt/brine looks like. Bottom picture was after I allowed the POR-15 degreaser to sit for about 10 minutes and hosed off. No scrubbing. Pretty good results. This is indicative of the whole system. Couple small spots where the paint flaked off near the tailpipe tips - that I’ll have to touch up.

POR15 is great stuff. Note- it will turn light color from sunlight, so Ill recommend a topcoat of black paint on top of it.

Love POR15 but I didn't think it could withstand the heat of the exhaust

So far so good. They make an exhaust paint - not to be confused with their regular paint over rust paint.
