Added a 6” with coil overs the other day. I knew it was a chance of screwing up the PCS but rolled the dice anyway. Turns out my PCS lit the dash up. Is there any chance that adding rake back to my truck can solve the issue? Maybe this can be a thread for fixes members have done to solve it.

What do you mean by “lit the dash up”? If there’s a PCS error, only the PCS and maybe one other dash light will pop up. Let’s start there to make sure you don’t have an ABS sensor issue.

Apologies for no details. PCS unavailable message and trailer control unavailable as well. Also VSC slip light.

If you have any other lights aside from the PCS malfunction that are popping up, it’s not a PCS issue. Since you also have trailer brake and traction control lights popping up, you most likely have a broken abs wire or sensor as a result of the lift itself and/or the installer hitting something or not paying attention to relocating brackets for the sensor wires. This would cause the PCS to also malfunction since the system communicates with one another. But a PCS issue alone would not trigger a brake or traction light.

Thanks. I’ll start looking at the ABS wires. They must be really sensitive. I installed the lift and was extremely careful with everything although the abs wires were stretched at full droop when putting it back together. It’s getting alignment done now and I have some pro form fab 2” shackles on the way I ordered in anticipation of the issue. I think the extended coil overs gave more than 6” up front and gave me a negative rake of about 1.5”. I’ll install the shackles and look at chasing abs wire down. Any suggestions on how to isolate which one? Thanks for the advice.

Sitting level on the slanted driveway. The Shackles should help, I did the same thing to remove a block that I had with an earlier lift. Good luck with the sensors\lights.

Yea it’s pretty nose high. Hopefully I’ll get it figured out but I knew the risk when I decided to install. Had a RC 3.5” with UCA’s installed before the 6”.

That’ll be the last option if I can’t get it corrected. Beyond that, guess I’ll get the dealer to turn it off.

Then you’ll have a constant light on the dash and malfunction message. There is also no way to turn it back on once deleted. So you’re gonna have to drive it till the wheels fall off because you won’t be able to trade it in with a disabled safety feature. Toyota will make you sign a lengthy responsibility waiver stating all of this.

Wel I guess finding the problem is the only option. Guess I’m lucky I enjoy doing this type stuff.

Guess I got lucky as hell. Just got the truck back from alignment and NO lights at all. Took it on a 20 mile test ride and no problems whatsoever. I’ll still install the shackles when they get here just to give a slight rake for good measure as it still sits slightly nose high. Not into the lean at all. Here is a pic after alignment. Thank you to all who provided suggestions!

I'd check your ABS sensor lines at full droop and make sure you don't have any tension on them. If you do, you need to get them relocated so you don't snap them. Same with the brake and ABS sensor lines in the back.
