Leveling is installing a small lift in the front suspension to get rid of the rake. (rake is where the opening between the top of the tire and the wheel well is bigger in the rear than the front. Trucks are built with rake so that when you load it, it does not sit nose-high. But most people don't load their trucks that often, so it does not 'need' the rake, so we lift the front to have it sit level front to back)

Bringing the front of the truck to the same height of the rear. Lifting would be raising the front and rear. technically you could both lift and level the entire truck.
