I mean, it's definitely in the ballpark, but yeah, naw. There was a bagged (maybe bodied?) '01 that just went for $3k on fleaBay out of Anderson SC yesterday. I contemplated bidding on it but wasn't willing to deal with someone else's project. Looked really cool though. I'd really prefer something '97 or older, just for sake of emissions. New enough for airbags, old enough to be emissions exempt, engine small enough 30mpg is easily achievable on the hwy, and 2WD just to remove 1 more fail point and potentially add a mpg or three.

The one person I know with a Ridgeline wishes she had a Tundra.

I guess it's nohomo as long as it's "just the tips" touching the same surface?

Me too. Then I hopped in and...... staring at the same steering wheel. Same gauge cluster. Same door handles. Same radio. Same same same. Being the Camry of trucks is a double edged sword. It's quite the compliment in an unfortunate way given the space. Loved my Camry. Love my FGT AC. Would have upgraded to a DC given the right situation to add some room for the family. But they suffered through the tiny vertical back seat and now I'm left with the best hunting rig instead of a limo truck. Except I bought a 2019 limo truck for daily duty with the wife and the dogs. Glad my FGT is an AC though. Zero reason they couldn't have put a roll down rear window in the AC though.

When you park a black first gen and it snows, it has been well documented that the icicles form horizontally from front to back and can extend from the rear bumper as far as two meters back. That's the power of black Tundra.

White trucks don't freeze. When you drive a white Tundra in the snow, you become the snow. You are one with winter. You are unstoppable.

I was thinking this morning, while blasting down the freeway, that these plebs merely adopted the snow. I was born from it, molded by it.

Starfish? Dude, those spokes look like wieners... Haha. Never seen that design before. Maybe I'm just immature.

He has the starfishes and won't be 'upgrading' to the wieners until his current tires wear.

There was only one 1st gen wheel worse than the Starfish design.

I'm probably in the minority, but I like the straight spoke steel wheels, the curved ones look like hubcap covers to me.

Steelies always win. Wanna fix your wheel with a hammer? Wanna try with aluminium?

i wish those U.s.wheel smoothies came in toyota 16”. Id have chrome lugs, but black center cones and trim rings.

you know most new vehicle chrome or oolished wheels are cast aluminum with chrome plastic covers.

I hated my star fish at first but after a while with the caps off I grew to like them. If they didn't have such deep offset I would have kept them and got them coated bronze.

I've seen a few pre runner (real ones, not the Toyota model) first gen tacos with them. They look pretty good in the air. Part of the attraction is that they're forged rather than cast, so very light and much stronger than most after market wheels.

I tried to change the color to bronze but I haven't figured out how to do that. This is close to what I would do if the backspace wasn't so deep. Keen eyes will notice I had to flip the rear wheel lol. Picture that but real bronze and some big knobby tires.

148 posts on a tundra enthusiast forum and not one pic of your “tundra”? As @bmf4069 so truthfully states, we like pics. Like, a lot.
