    Yeah, if you charge at home... or free at your workplace... you are golden. But on the road you are gouged. All the commercial offerings are ripoffs, IMO. And the other thing is that you can't simply divide a proposed road trip by an EV's range and say that you have 3 stops or whatever. First, charging really gets slow over 80% so that is a typical fill point unless you have another hour or 2 to kill. Then you can't even use all of that depending on where chargers can be found and weather (cold, wind) conditions, grades, etc. I have watched a couple of Mach E reviews and road trip reviews by real enthusiasts and frankly it looked painful. One 1000 mile trip the driver in the AWD Mach E with 255 mile advertised range stopped about 7 times, about 45 minutes each stop. He was paying the EA discount rate that was still 3 times the cost of home charging. I could have done that trip in my Tacoma in 2 stops of 5 minutes each for ~ the same $ in fuel that he paid and skipped the night in the hotel. All this is gonna make EV adoption really tough.
