What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

How long was the wait after placing the order? Did you do with the 0 degree option? Looks good!

 

Yeah zero degree. I ordered on Black Friday and they were ready a couple weeks ago. Probably wouldn’t have to wait as long now, unless their materials are short again. My wait was mostly due to volume rather than material concerns. Also, I’m local and wanted Westcott to install them, but just couldn’t get up there until yesterday. In/out in 2hrs

 

That’s the SSO Hybrid bumper right? Any issues fitting your winch and light bar? I assume you installed all at the same time?

Yes it is. No issues. They supply step by step instructions I followed. Yes I installed it all at the same time. The last thing I want is to do it again lol.

 

great stuff - I just had Focal components put in the front and rear of mine. they said they need to break in but they sound great now!

 

so now you have me spending money lol - what winch did you go with ? im trying to figure out which ones require the holes and which ones dont. on the site it just says OEM ....does that mean Warn winches dont require the holes? what light bar did you go with ? sorry to blow you up with questions but i love the looks of that bumper!

 

I concur, DD if you want SAE approved lights and the BD if you want stupid bright lights. Both are great options…

 

Got the VLED footwell kit installed today…finishes interior led upgrade…

Not bad at all. I think the hardest part was getting the clam shell grommets that clip into the tailgate to snap together with the harnesses in them!

Pulling the trim pieces was pretty easy. Only thing i needed a forked removal tool for was to pry the white clips out of the kick panel.

 

Just got done watching video install again. Plan on ordering one soon.

Finally got the Matt Gecko bed and hood light kits put in. Big thanks to my buddy who ended up doing 99% of the instal while I clambered around. Mounted the push button for the engine bay on the fuse box lid. Lights are great, pictures are with almost complete darkness in my garage.

 

I think diode were 300. Theyre amazing

These look great! I've had Matt Gecko lights sitting in a box in my garage for a month. Haven't had time to install them yet, but I think you just motivated me!

However, before I click any further, I'm a little concerned about the light bar blocking the air flow to the tranny cooler... it's right behind that little grille area where the light bar goes. Anyone think it matters all that much?

That DD light from Hotshot is on my short list. From what I’ve read, and if I’m remembering correctly, guys who went with the 42” have problems with the brackets not holding it level. Something about the brackets not being robust enough for the weight of the light bar. Haven’t heard/seen the same complaint for the 30” bar though, which is what I’ll go with when I get there.

Can’t answer anything about the trans cooler. Definitely outside my realm haha.

 

Swapped my TSS wheels with Methods MR313. They're 20x9.5 inches, +25 offset & weigh only 31.5 lbs per wheel.

No worries. I wish I got a nickel evertime someone blamed me for spending tbeir money lol.

I got a warn platinum xeon, think it was 10s. Side note that winch allows you to run 2 other accessories off it too and theyre operated off the warn wireless remote. I think the oem look without holes is specifically for that winch, since I can remotely engage and disengage. Other winches that require access to them would require the holes. This winch also has a relocation kit which allows you to mount the solenoid behind the grill. The fit is tight between the winch and baja designs s8 light bar. I mean very tight. However it fits perfect within the bumper. Also pretty cool is how the scallop the bumper to perfectly match the S8 lightbar.

I don't mind answering the questions, that's how we all learn. However if you want specifics I have a build page same as my username. I also did a thread specifically on the install.

 

I'm kinda 60-40 on if I love the carbon fiber. Will give it a few weeks. Easy enough to go back. Please note I ordered the correct steering wheel parts and receive wrong, correct one on the way, having fun with the sharpie.

Why would you want the seat lower? I’m taller than you and have zero issues.
