Dealership didn’t disclose all body repairs and now paint is chipping.

Not sure which forum to post this in but I bought a newish truck from a Toyota dealership and the Carfax said minor front damage. I asked the dealer and they told me it got a busted headlight and a scratch and that was it but all the work was done by an authorized Toyota dealership. Two months later and the paint on the hood is chipping up on the opposite side of where they said the damage was. When inspecting it with proper lights you can see the entire hood was repainted so it wasn’t just on the front right quarter panel where they said it was. Is there anything I can do?

I would take it back to the dealer. The authorized body shop should have a warranty on their work. My wife had been in several accidents with her cars over the years and every time the body shops told me that their work is life-time warrantied.
They would typically paint the whole hood, even if the damage was only on one side.

Would I have to take it to the one they used or would any Toyota authorized shop work you think? I bought it out of state so it’d be kind of difficult doing that but it is what it is if I have to go back up there

From the first post it was my understanding that the dealership had the damage repaired at the body shop. If that's the case then I would take it back to that dealer. Since they are out of state obviously call them about it first and discuss before making the drive out there.
If the repairs were made by the previous owner before trading it in, then the dealer does not have any obligation to do anything, unless they voluntarily want to help you, which would be rare. In that case you would have to find out who did the repairs, which should be listed on the car fax, and then deal directly with that shop.
The problem with these repair warranties, unfortunately is that it only applies to the owner at the time, and is not transferable, which doesn't make sense, because ownership has nothing to do with it, but that seems to be the case many times.
So, I would try the dealer first, then the actual body shop who did the repairs. Other than that you will have to take it to another body shop and have it painted on your dime. Probably about $1,000 job unfortunately.
    Good luck!

The owner of the dealer bought it brand new and I bought it from his dealer he sold it to so he was the only owner.

    Welcome from NY.

Did it come with a warranty? If so I would go back to the dealership you purchased it from.
