Good info. Sounds like you have the rubatone one. Everything I read is that it looks amazing out of the box, but then you touch it and it will never look the same.

I ask because I dig the over the top/sci-fi look of the visor, it's ECE rated, affordable, and might fit me. For practicality I think I would prefer the LS2 Valiant 2 helmet. Similar reasons, but the versatility of a modular is nice, and helps with claustrophobia.

Was that KBC on the right the one from your accident? Can't tell if that's a cracked shield or if it's spider webs. o_O

I cant belive nobody has come up with an afordable, decent smart helmet.

i want a 360* camera, and maps and rearview on a HUD.

There were some that toyed with HUDs but they were expensive and heavy. Also, some patent wars I believe.

Yea, its bogus. I cant do it, i dont understand fancy electric. But with the dumb shit cars and trucks have, to distract the un-interested, you’d think someone would sell a tool that would keep people alive.

Just look at the price gaps on carbon helmets vs non, or how much bitching goes on if a helmet is an ounce or two heavier than a competitor. Not a lot of incentive to rock the boat from the manufacturer standpoint. Pretty sure the majority of the R&D is funded through racing, and weight is paramount there, so this would be a purely consumer level product.

I also think it'd be the following elements. You can only pick 3.
    • Lightweight
    • Safe
    • Functional
    • Cheap

Not having any one of those makes it a bad market choice. If it's heavy, unsafe, doesn't work, or is too expensive it won't sell.

Current bike is a fz-09 but looking at picking up a 501fe s would keep both bikes. Have had a drz400sm and a Grom. Multiple different motos but want something long term and not beat to crap haha.

My current helmet is an HJC RPHA 11. Pretty nice helmet with a middle of the road performance and price. Has the flip down lens for sunny days. Previous helmet had one and I will never own another helmet without that feature.

I love the internal shaded lens. I hate swapping shields, so it's almost a deal breaker for me.

There's a place in Brentwood CA. where I go to purchase bang sticks.
Got two Keltecs there and a 9mm XD.
Anyway, a place called "Diggers" is there and they have an awesome burger that is tough to finish unless your real hungry
Two patties, chilies, cheese, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, and fried eggs.
Every time I go to my ammo / gun happy place I stop by to indulge on the way back.

I've never actually had an egg on a burger. :( As long as those aren't pickles in that pic, I'd definitely give it a try. Sounds awesome, especially because they cooked the onions!

My 1978 Kawasaki Z1R. This pic was taken about 30 years ago. A had just parked my bike and a guy walking by asked if I didn't mind if he took a picture. We got to talking and he offered to mail a photo to me. It's the only photo I have. Painter was my best friend. He has long since died. Wish I still had the bike and my best friend.

When stopping for apple pie and coffee in Santa Isabelle today this vintage BMW K100 was spotted in the parking lot.
Truly custom in nature very little remains of the original motorcycle. Something you just don't see every day.

It's at one of the crossroads well visited by motorcyclists and tourists alike. On the way out of town to Julian or Palomar Mountain ~ it's a San Diego favorite, for sure.

Well, a bike is no longer in the cards. :(

I've done some honest reflection on the topic and I am afraid it would wind up being just like the RS1 I sold because I didn't use it enough to own it. Maybe someday, but not on the schedule I was previously hoping.
