I have a 2020 Limited and HATE the all chrome grill. I see the Sparks replacement and really like it, but holding off the grand for that and spending on tires. Wondering if anyone has bedliner painted their chrome grill? How did you do it and how did it come out? Thanks in advance

Plastidip can be used. Also it is reversible. Might get you buy until you can get the real deal.

Btw, while you have it off, put some 1/4" hardware cloth in front of the condensor to keep the bugs and crap out of it. The a/c will be much better for a long time! Might want to also think really hard about an auxillary trans. cooler too.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I used plastidip on my Tacoma's grill a few years ago and it was ok. It seemed to fade fairly quick and got some chips. Was just thinking of something a little more rugged and maybe a deeper black look.

You can paint/coat them and as always prep is key. With plastic chrome you need to remove all wax/oils, scuff or sand really well-nooks and crannies too, then a good cleaning to remove residue and you are ready to apply your finish.
