I have a 2015 tundra that at random, the "Tracoff" light comes on and the brakes almost lock up. I've read that this is an ABS issue which makes sense, however the local Midas that I took it too, told me that it was throwing codes for the transmission, and wouldn't look at it any further and referred me to the transmission shop across the street. Does anyone know if this issue could be related to the transmission in any way? Just doesnt make sense to me.

Sounds like a sensor is loose or frayed... get a cheap OBD2 Bluetooth reader and download torque and read them and see what's up.. unless you have the codes, that's what is do..

Or check your sensors down below near the calipers...
