Not sure if the 'chrome' on our Tundra tails is actual chrome or sprayed on aluminum. I don't believe the process at the two links below will work with true chrome, but:

Just a drain and fill or did you "flush" with something?

Just did a drain and fill. Mainly because -
    1. Truck has 67k only on it and is just over 5 years old
    2. Coolant looked clean out of both the radiator and block
    3. I can’t even find enough distilled water for my Keurig let alone enough for flushing a motor.

two actually. ;) And I need to find a way to make it so the dust doesn’t just stick to where my TRD stickers were.

Clay bar, some residue is still left where the stickers were. Clay the area and you'll be good. Looks like I'll add coolant service to the list of projects piling up in the garage.

Intentional or not, it sure gets them (and my truck) a lot of attention! I could add to the mix and say they suck too, but actually they were good to work with...:D

I’ll take care of your coolant and let you clay bar my truck. That sounds fair…

I just have RCI skids as well. Rolling the dice a little but I do work from home (thanks Covid) and my truck sleeps in the garage. Whenever we are going to park somewhere remotely sketchy we take the wife’s car.

Im kinda in the same boat. We live in a good area and rarely leave the truck anywhere sketchy. Great idea though, and always nice to have more protection!
