My experience has been that they may not practice the best judgement of driving techniques for the conditions as a whole.

And it is not that easy to avoid them while they are at it.

Which probably help to understand your comment too!

I was scrolling through your pictures and was thinking "wonder if that is good river rafting?"

I never have forgotten how cold it gets in MT. The one and only time we went up to MT to spend Christmas with my family it never got above 0*F the whole week. My wife pretty much said that she would never retire in MT...

The first time I was in Big Sky it was -40 for a few days in a row!
I had to walk up the clients 1/4 mile driveway at 9000'
I had to stop and rest twice each time I walked it and was both sweating and freezing at the same time.
The Roofers were mad that it was so cold but they will work down to -20 but they draw the line there? WTAF?!?
And in a few weeks I almost got used to it somehow but I never liked it.

I never heard of school weather delays until I moved to Colorado. Growing up in MT, you got yo butt out of bed early, did what needed to be done around the house, shoveled, and left early.

We had a 2 hour delay this past week for frost...

San Diego area. I can relate and don't handle the extreme heat either..:fistbump:

If I could afford SD again, that is some nice year round weather.

Not planning on selling it for sure!
My Dad was a Teacher and he and Mom could go there for the Summers and we rented to Western State Students during the school year which really worked out well. Then he passed and it is now pretty much just Wasted State and we rent year round to adults and I only get there to maintain it it seems like.

I need to change that if I can,but not for the Winter either!
