bought my truck fully intentioned on getting rid of the 20” wheels for smaller later down the road, what would the community do? The wheels in question are ultra phantoms with bfg atko2 with probably half life left, would I Have a easier time selling them now with the tires in good useable condition or have to scrap them like the last set of “custom” wheels I did not want to use that did not sell at any price.

Sell asap. I always keep wheels that I intend to sell later, and they are always worth less with time and/or wear.

You definitely need a lower offset wheel with those flares. And I doubt you would reuse those tires b/c it's not like you're going to buy low offset 20" replacement wheels. Don't torture yourself - get rid of them!
