I have a 2007 2wd 4.7 crewmax. On freeway ramps where I’m turn right at a quick but not overly fast pace the truck starts beeping and there is a grinding noise coming from the left front. Doesn’t do this any other time. What’s causing this? Wheel sensor?

You would be wise to get a decent scan tool that can show you live data. I would suggest observing what the front left speed sensor is reporting during an event like this.

The grinding noise could be the stability system pulsing the brakes up there. Something like this could occur from a failing wheel bearing, a flaky speed sensor, and I'm sure other unmentioned issues.

This is normal with traction control on. My rig will do the same thing in a simi aggressive turn. It is usually the front left or right wheel being pushed out as you turn. The system is trying to keep you from getting into trouble. If you notice you should get an amber traction light flashing at the same time when you hear the growl. You can turn trac off but then you will not have the safety feature to keep you out of trouble.

If you're leveled it's common for the truck to be confused that it's losing traction since the angle of the sensors is too high then.

No leveling kit. Still does it with traction control off. Only on a right hand curve not on a left hand curve. I’ll try the wheel sensor.

The magnetic strip on the wheel bearing that the wheel sensor reads could be bad too. Do you live in the rust belt?

With traction control fully off (not just the first or second setting) it should turn it off (hold button until dash lights change, then let go and hold it again until they change a final time). Not that that solves it.

Possibly bad wheel bearing or sensor caused by leaking seal. Make sure you replace the o-ring and rear seal with new bearing.

    Probably a bad wheel bearing
