    Need help, is it required to change your ring and pinion gear if you want to install a ARB locker or locker in general or can we keep our original one if it’s still in good condition?

    Too many, but not enough....
    You can keep originals. If you plan on getting bigger tires at some point, consider doing a regear with your locker install since you will have to pay labor only once.

    I’ll bet you need new bearings for the ring gear right? It has to come out to put the locker in

    Magnuson supercharger, Sprint booster, CB TRD PRO kit, 295/70/10 terra grapple G2, Black TRD shift knob, Rhino shackle hitch, Lund Tri-fold bed cover, 1.25 Spidertrax wheel spacers. TRD rear sway bar. Bud Built cross member. Arb Diff breather. Grab handle installed. 2012 DC SR5 TRD Supercharged, Gone but not forgotten.
    I just installed a elocker, the ring and pinion are original but changed bearings and for shit and giggles I swapped in new ring bolts. You can reuse the ring if you want to.

    thanks all for replying. Any of you guys know how much it might cost to have air lockers install? Or if you do it yourself, is it that complicated? i have watch YouTube on how to do it, I don't have an issue taking out the rear diff, but I'm just a little skeptical about setting the backlash. Is there an easier way to set factory backlash once the locker is install ?

    I think I paid $1k per axle for locker and regear. Another option would be to send your 3rd member and front clamshell to ECGS to have them do it, don't know how much they charge though.
