I don't own a 1st gen but I'm in the market for one. I'm going to look at one this weekend. It's crazy what prices are in my area, Seattle(ish), but I'm determined to find one. I'm looking at a 2006 Timberland Mica 4x4 with 211k on the clock. Asking price is 11k. My research leads me to believe it's a fair price with a little room for negotiating.

I've done a ton of research. That's where the thank you comes in. I would have never thought to look for the TB and water pump needing to be replaced. I confirmed it has according to Toyota. Thanks for the tips on registering there to see what services have been done. It was done at 145k in 2016 so I'm still good there.

Rust! I'm glad I researched and didn't end up like the one guy who had his truck inspected after buying only to find out the frame needs replacing. He never posted back. LOL.

My question is about ball joints. I see there was a service done at 58k and it reads like below:

    SSC 70B BALL JOINT

    SSC 70B BALL JOINT ~|~PERFORM SSC 70B REPLACE BALL JOINTS AND ALIGNMENT OPC- 7511A3 2.6 PART# 04006-62134 OPC- 7511A1 0.4 (CLEAR SSC FOR 04 SEQUOIA AND TUNDRA) ~|~ ~|~SSC 70B COMPLETED

So what was actually replaced? Thanks in advance for any answers!

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Sounds like you found a pretty fair deal.
