Might be better on the regular hybrids that arent lifted, have more highway oriented smaller tires, have the air dam, etc etc

Pretty low, yeah. Still, my combined is around 14. That’s a 50% increase from the v8. Decent when you look at it that way, but it would still be trailing the pack.

With the power that hybrid drivetrain is rated at, I’d love to see a heavy duty payload package as an option. 600 lb ft of torque and 2k lbs of payload would be awesome.

Yeah kinda sucks but around what I expected for the TRD Pro, the other hybrids I assume will net 23mpg combined which is pretty much what the powerboost does.

What's the payload/GVWR sticker say on your door jamb? Curious to see if the airbags change these numbers at all from the standard truck.

Pfft. Toyota needs to step it up on the ad front. I had a Nissan Frontier ad pop up on youtube the other day. The truck was towing an ATV on a trailer up a mountain road and passes a group of cyclists. The driver gives them a smug look as he goes by and rock music was playing throughout the ad. I actually went and looked at the Nissan Frontier website.

We have an 80 mph speed limit in South Dakota too. It’s still not fast enough in my opinion.

My Chevrolet SS happily lopes along at 100 mph if I ask it to (frankly it would happily cruise well north of that). I want a 100 mph speed limit, it would make driving across the state much more productive.

Read on the Tundra FB group that they got 321whp and 352wtq out of a stock 2022 Tundra running 93 octane. 369whp and 410wtq when they bumped the boost up to 15 psi (10psi was stock).

Edit: This was already posted in another thread. My bad!

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
No offense but that is downright stupid. We have neither the drivers ed, nor the vehicle inspections, nor the common sense for that in the states. The closing speeds would be way too high for the variety of traffic and all the above doesnt even consider the slow guy in the fast lane.

    Agreed.

It should be much much more difficult to obtain a drivers license in this country, and bad drivers should be heavily penalized and face license revocation. Driver training and testing should be far more rigorous. Fines for really dangerous activities are too low.

For example impeding traffic in a passing lane should be a $1000 fine. People doing that cause accidents.

Operating a vehicle incapable of maintaining express lane (the theoretical 100mph lane) speeds would be a $1000 fine, and your vehicle will be impounded. Again closing speeds are still a problem with our current low speed limits. Dumb dumbs need to be punished.

Stopped at the local dealer for wiper blades for my wife's 4runner and chatted with a sales guy we'd worked with in the past. He didn't have anything coming in that I was interested in, but said he'd be able to order in March. Has anybody else heard that?

My German language skills are pretty rusty.

The Germans have a good thing going with their autobahn and driver training requirements. We should adopt similar driver training standards, and then explore upping speed limits in vast open areas with low traffic density.

It’s currently allocation based (i.e., no one is ordering). I can’t imagine why that would change in March given Toyota’s track record.

Until you realize that you can't even replace the tires on your car without the TUV having to approve it.

Factory % is around 20%. I Do all windows at 15% with ceramic. For this Tundra I might go 5% all around.

Hi all new member as coming over from owning a 2020 Tacoma. I Just picked up my 2022 Tundra 4x4 build date 12/21 hope I'm good there. I purchased with lots of options (like a limited without the sunroof) last Sat. 1/15. I did purchase the Toyota Extended 7 year Warranty just in case (as new model year). Only 250 miles but so far so good. 14" screen is crazy good! If the reliability is Toyota like it's a win/win.

Both are laws here in Illinois. Doesn’t the autobahn have safer statistics than US highways even when doing double the speed limit?
