Newbie here. Just picked up a 17 Tundra Double cab 4WD 5.7L V8 with the following spec - SR5 Upgrade Package, factory sprayed bedliner, TRD Off road package and few other options with 79K miles on it. Bought it on auction for 33K. I am thinking that it was a good deal but is that really true? looking at inflated used car prices around here and tempted to sell it and save the money for a 22 Tundra in a year or two... Any advice?

    Welcome from TX.

All of that depends on you as everyone here has different tastes. Personally, I'd keep what you have as I don't care for the new Tundra. Not to mention they will need a couple years to get all the kinks worked out. Is your 2017 4WD? If so, I think you found a good bargain.

If you have something else to drive that serves your needs, you could sell now and come out ahead when prices on new trucks go back to normal (i.e. 5-7k below MSRP) but it’s gonna be a long wait.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! To sell or to keep depends on your motivations for buying in the first place. Did you buy it as an investment, looking to flip it? Or did you want a quality truck that will last for years? Go with your original plan.

I think that's a fantastic price, assuming it's in good shape and there's nothing wrong with it?

    I'd keep it!
