2017 White DC TRD PRO

So I got to tow with my truck for the first time today. Hooking up was SO easy with the backup camera, but once I got on my way I got this error.

Any ideas why or how to fix it? Trailer brake controller had no input but lights worked fine.

From what I've read it's an ibc fault that a lot of people have been having problems with. Lots of people have replaced with an aftermarket controller to fix the problem
