Add a leaf w/o pulling whole leaf pack out?

Anyone know if it's possible to Add a leaf w/o pulling the whole leaf pack out?

Please provide resources if you have them

 

Uhhh, no. As far as I know, you’ll need to pull them off, stack in the add-a-leaf, and re-install. The leafs bear weight, so you’ll have to alleviate the weight to install the new leaf.

 

Thanks, I'll also need to pop out the old thru bolt and get a longer one, correct?

 

Probably. And don’t reuse U-bolts.

 

Yes. As @Sunnier said, do not reuse Ubolts. Toytec carries the center bolt and ubolts. The ubolts were around $40 for a full set of four.

 

in theory you could add a leaf "with out pulling them all out" but it would be way more work and a weird working position as you would have to disassemble the whole back but leave the main leaf that bolts to the chassis and awkwardly hold every thing to put it all back together. way easier on a bench top and less work plus since your not having to use your 4th hand to hold stuff you can occasionally uses your 2nd hand for holding a beer.
