    Hello everyone!

I just just joined this community after much lurking the past couple of weeks.

As the title states I have to possibility of purchasing a 2021 Tundra TRD pro in lunar rock with sub 10k miles for around 65k. The alternative is a new 2022 model I’m thinking an Sr5 with the TRD off road package in lunar rock which would be in the range of 53-56k.

I’m no mechanical wiz/expert but I currently own a 2015 4Runner SR5 and I love it. I’m nervous about the new truck in terms of reliability(it being the first year) but I’m also on the fence about paying 65k.

thank you for your responses in advance! Much appreciated!!

If you are considering a new 2022 SR5 with TRD off road package, why not look at the same package in a used '21 and below and spend less $?

    Hey Jeff!

It’s gonna sound silly but I absolutely love the Lunar Rock color. I love how the tundra looks, everything about the 21 TRD pro is beautiful. I just wish it was a bit cheaper and I know in this market that’s asking for a lot.

I definitely understand. I love that color also. I personally wouldn't buy anything in this crazy market. I would just let the dust settle and see how the '22 models hold up if you are concerned with any bugs. They make new trucks everyday, you won't miss out on getting what you want if you are patient.

Buy neither one, find a 3-4 year old low mileage grandpa garage kept stocker. You know one of those old dude recently passed kinda deals. You get a great well kept clean truck and help out someone at the same time. Don't let the color bother you, think value.

I’d buy the new one. No way in hell is a used pro worth 65k especially when the msrp was 55 new.

The 2021 is unbeatable, -- EDIT --- but my reading skills aren't. Mine I'm keeping as long as humanly possible. I prefer this platform to the 2022. I think that, beyond budget, when picking between pre 2022 and 2022 one needs to consider where and how you're going to use it, which you're going to enjoy more, how much difference the MPG makes to you, and so forth.

I vote for the 21. The 22 is ugly.

Ended up negotiating the price down and pulled the trigger on the 21 TRD Pro Lunar Rock
    4K miles

Awesome! Just bought my 2021 tundra in December with 4 miles on it. Decided on it over the 2022 as well. I personally like the look of the 21 versus 22
