the question i have is I parked my Tundra08 in the driveway Tuesday nite, didn't drive it on Wednesday then when i got in it Thursday afternoon. I started it but then it wouldn't go in reverse or forward. runs but won't move forward or backwards. why all of a sudden would this happen. Any ideas what the hell happen just sitting there?

Does the shift lever move or is it stuck? You have to be way, way, way more specific about your exact issue.

If the shift lever doesn't move, that's unlikely to be a transmission problem.

If the shift lever moves but the transmission doesn't respond at all, that's a whole different problem.

If the shift lever moves and the transmission barely responds, that's normally what you'd expect from an actual transmission problem.

This could be something simple like a linkage issue.

If your transmission was OK one day and did this the next, I'd be looking for stuff external to the transmission not allowing it to work properly.

Do the indicators lights changes as you shift?
Does it make any difference if you are in D or S?
