Jesus Christ. Is there anything a Toyota dealership WILL do?

"I'm coming up on 100k and would like my transmission serviced."

    "We don't service those."

"I have a new headlight stalk. What would you charge me to install it?"

"It wasn't original to the truck so we can't do it."

"I just got new TPMS sensors. The light is on. Can you guys program this for me one day?"

    "Are the wheels aftermarket?"

    "Yes."

    "We can't do it."

I guess I'm going to have to buy some special tools and learn how to do Toyota work. This is getting ridiculous. I've never seen a shop who won't take money when you offer it to them for easy work.

I live in NKY...sounds like they arent hungry for your business. Have you tried the dealerships down the road in Lexington or Oxmoor Toyota in Louisville?

That would be my next closest options and both are 45 minutes from me. I ended up doing the headlight stalk myself with help from an awesome write-up on this forum. Will either get a tire shop locally to do the TPMS for me, or maybe buy a tool and do it myself.

I bought a BRAND NEW TPMS Autel 508 Scanner and 4 metal valve stem TPMS Sensors from AL’s Hubcaps in NY.

It cost me $213 shipped for everything, and came in the factory Autel plastic case.

I chose the 508 because it has the OBD cord for direct hookup and diagnostics to your vehicle. Some Autel TPMS models are limited in scope without the hookup.

Here’s his number. He’s been a great help for me. Have a little sense of Humor before you call. Al can be a little brash but he knows his stuff.

    AL’s Hubcaps and TPMS
    +1 (516) 742-6823

When I get my new tires installed I’ll use the new TPMS Sensors and program them myself.

Plus I’ll always have the scanner for use in the future.

Beats paying stealer ship prices or wondering what the light is on for.

    I hope this helps someone.
