I just finished installing an OEM Audio Plus Evolution Series upgrade to my 2021 Tundra 1794. It completely blows away the factory sound system and is compatible with the existing JBL interface. Resized_20210914_085733.jpg

Can you give me some info?? I just got my 18 platinum last week. I'm disappointed in the JBL. I was extremely satisfied with the Bose system in my last truck. I would love to do an upgrade to my Tundra. Thanks

They use your existing amplifier to only power the existing interface. A second amplifier is dedicated solely for the Evolution Series speakers and a third amplifier for the subwoofer. I went with a single subwoofer but they do have an option for two. And yes... I agree the factory Toyota JBL system sucks.

    Welcome to the forum @Jim_1969

From what I've read, the OEM AUDIO PLUS upgrade is a nice bump up from stock.
I've read the dual subs sound better than the single.

It's not going to rock the neighborhood, but the customers buying it aren't looking for that anyway..
They just want a good clean sound..

    Glad it fits your needs..

Thanks for your help. If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost?

I really like the idea. For the time being I'm happy with the functionality of the '21 headunit, but lordy...this is a pricey option :eek2:

I have the original Oem Audio Plus upgrade for the JBL stereo. Amp, Dual subs and tweeters. Made a night and day difference and sounds awesome. I don’t think I’ll be upgrading to the Evolution series for another $2k ! :eek2:

Congrats on your truck and new system and welcome to the forum!
