I finished my custom aux front lighting project and wanted to share. I see that Diode Dynamics recently added a similar kit for the 2.5 gen but this is how my custom mounts for the 2nd gen worked out.

I wanted the lights to be in the grille similar to raptor lights, but providing night time illumination. These are the DD 6" driving light bars, and they provide (subjectively) about 2-3x as much light as the standard high beams. Really nice addition on back roads.

I dont have a brake so the sheet metal was cut with a saber saw and bent using angle iron and C clamps. It took a bit of time as (why?) the radiator frame is not symmetrical, so each piece needed to be tweaked in place. I was able to use all existing holes though.

I also needed to relieve the back structure of the grill a bit, but no more than 1/4-1/2".

Apologies for the mess in the garage too :)
