Hello everyone, new to the forum but I’ve owned several tundras. I have a question that I can’t find much info on, probably something not many have tried, hoping to maybe use some of the expertise on this forum. My uncle has a 2021 Tacoma with the JBL head unit and he’s currently getting it replaced. Since he’s just planning on trashing the head unit I figured why not try to put it in my 2013 tundra limited. My question is, does anyone know if it will even fit, and if so how big of a pain will it be? TIA y’all.

As I’m new I didn’t know there is an A/V thread. If this fits better there and a mod can move it, that would be great. Thanks.

Your biggest issues would be the dash fitment and the wiring harnesses. Not to mention all of the ECUs that would be missing from the different Toyota generations and models. It wouldn’t be worth the headache to hack it together.

That said, those units can get a few hundred bucks on eBay, so selling and rolling into the cost of a good aftermarket unit is a good plan.

Thanks for the reply, the ECU’s are what I wasn’t sure about. I’ll probably do just that and throw it up on eBay. He’s just giving it to me so it’ll be all profit .
