I havent seen any. Because the sequential should have that bed release button. And all the headlights I've seen are manual adjust not auto for the SR% sport.

cause its the most likely place you will grab or place stuff to pivot into the bed. better its easy to replace plastic than painted surface.

right now on our 2018 platinum, there is no where to easily safely lift the tailgate to close since it all painted and the plastic covering is so small there its not usable really.

Bought the first 2022 Toyota Tundra in Sherwood Park, Alberta last week for MSRP. So far I love it. Added winter tires, Toyota Tonneau, 3M, and bed mat. I plan on getting the TRD cast aluminum side steps but they are not available in Canada yet. Also want to find a set of US 20” TRD OR wheels for summer. They’re not available in Canada either :(.

beautiful truck. Side steps will help as I’ve seen a few new tundras and the lower portion of the bed in front of the rear tires looks like it’s going to get blasted with road debris just by design

Are you saying you have the upgraded headlight with full drl or just the led turn signal.

Please give me a few days learning the systems and will try to answer all of your questions I can. Driving home yesterday from the dealership, the steering felt a little odd until I realized what was going on. Every time I came close to the RH white line it would lightly steer back to center and the same on the LH yellow center line with little beeps when close or touching the center line. The ride was good with 22 to 23 MPG running 55 to 65 on the highway going easy on the throttle.

Congrats! Saw one on the road today. Not a big fan of the grill/front end looks…but maybe it will grow on me like the Gen IIs did after a while…..as I start up my 2001 w 200k that sounds like the millennium falcon when she starts up!!

It’s painted plastic so no different than if it was color matched… like the rest of the tundras are

I have a car with Lockheed hydraulic brakes which takes 1/2 alcohol and 1/2 castor oil. (Not the drinkable-type-alcohol)

I think it is perfect! Toyota hit it out of the park and it rides betters than it looks. Not that the looks of other trucks are completely trash but this thing is bad ass. You can spend money trying to improve your old pig or just go buy the Homecoming Queen. Not trying to hurt anyones feelings but it is what it is IMO.

I'll double down on the "rides better than it looks". I went to the dealership interested in a 21, but when i saw the 22 in person for the first time AND test drove it the decision to buy one was easy.

Having color matched or anything but black fender trim IMO makes it look like the tires are more proportionate. I definitely liked it better in person versus online. Also this is not my 2022.

I had a 21 Silverado and as far as ride, the Tundra is way better. MPG’s is about the same as everyone else, it just depends on your driving habits. Yes, mine is 2wd, but it was the only one available and it wasn’t a deal breaker (I paid sticker). From what I understand there is no difference between the 2 and 4wd besides the front differential and locking rear axle. So the only way you’d know it’s 2wd at first glance is the fancy bedside stickers.
    1A59F05E-D414-4E02-A6EB-B516AF097B9C.jpg

There are three things I don’t really care for, and it’s in my opinion. 1) They sit too low 2) The TRD 18’s look like hubcaps 3) The SR5 chrome

Here’s my leveled but factory Silverado next to my new Yota.

The grill doesn’t look all that big in proportion in person for some reason. But all the close up pics make it appear bigger then it is.

looks like they lowered the stance on the new tundra compared to the chevy and ford. i imagine for wind resistance = slightly better mpg. that lower stance will prob help the wife remove snow compared to our 2018 tundra that sits a tad higher.

Great looking Truck! I agree with your 3 comments.
I can't figure out why all the SR5s have the color matched mustache except when you add certain off-road packages.

True haha. I have three kids and the youngest is in a car seat still. It was sad when my wife made the comment “wow it’s so much easier to get him in his seat”
