My 'new to me' 09 Tundra came with a touch Nav radio cd player. And no other information. I have figured out a few things like am running my tunes via micro sd perfectly and the nav already has a map sd in it. But running the nav kills the music and I get an occasional LOUD pop from the speakers. I need an online instruction manual but have not been able to determine what make the unit is. Copied a web page pic of it and I hope someone has some ideas.
Nope, won't load the web page. Will find a pic. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/4BIAAOSwCj9gq2dB/s-l1600.jpg

Okay, I have a very similar, maybe the same, unit that I installed in my truck. I will say upfront, it is a cheap unit and I have seen at least 10 different Amazon listings for basically the same product that all appear to be clones of one another so the support I would call nonexistent. Mine came preinstalled with an "app" that is really just a link to a PDF called instructions and that is it. I tried half heartedly for about 3 mins to download the PDF off of the head unit so I could attach it here but I gave up. Sticking with the theme of poor support, this PDF is really just a basic introduction to how to use the Android operating system.

For your navigation problem, my best guess, from my experience (if your unit has the same settings panel as mine) is under SETTINGS > CAR > NAVIGATION > NAVIGATION SOUNDS there is an option to either "mix" sounds or "switch" sounds. Mix, I think will keep your music playing and the navigation can talk over the top of it where switch is one or the other.
For the speakers popping, mine gives me a super soft pop when I am switching audio sources so maybe the same thing but I have no fix for you.

Side note, while taking pictures of my head unit and looking through the menus, I fixed a problem that was bugging me for a long time now. When I would reverse it would shut off my music and I just now found the option to disable that, so, thank you for making me look again I guess ! Hopefully you can find some solutions also.

Yep. Mos def the same unit. I'll check it out tomorrow after I dig thru the shitload of snow that is happening here right now. My music also disappears when in reverse. Be nice to fix that. My popping is not soft by any means and only happens occasionally on its own without switching. I noticed the music app and the sdcard can play the tunes separately at the same time. I think maybe when I hit the music button it downloaded my tunes from the card to the unit. This may be where the popping is coming from I need to find out if I can delete those tunes from the unit. I will first remove the sd card and see if the tunes are still there. I'm sticking with this unit as the music is good and clear and powerful enough for my need. The nav is a bonus and all the other stuff too. Haven't had a CD or DVD in years so that kind of a waste. But, thanks a lot for the info.

I found the mix option and now the music does not cut out in reverse camera. But still cuts out with map engaged. Guess my older unit has less icons and options than yours but I am still fiddling with it. Also, even tho I was somehow able to get the sd card cover open with my fingernails once, I gave up trying again. Is there a trick to opening the damn thigs?

I've only opened the sd card a couple of times. I don't have a good method for you, but, even though there is a tab on the end you have to pull the entire piece straight out or it kinda binds and gets stuck. I also don't use a nav card so I'm kinda out of my depth to help anymore on that, hopefully, you can get it all figured out by digging around.

Hate to bother you one more time, Mr. Tree, but when I go into setup it is looking for a pass key to do a reset. Do you know if it is a standard one like 0001 or the like?

I remember the first time I was exploring I managed to find the advanced setting password, but, I cannot remember which one it was now. The first one on the list is ringing the most bells for me but here is a list that I found of common pins that most manufacturers use: https://android-headunits.com/pin-codes-for-android-headunit/

The Android Headunit PIN numbers can be for settings (advanced) or factory reset.

Thanks for that. I know 0000 and 1234 are commonly used.

Hey Mr. Tree. (Or anyone else for that matter.) Motoad here in BC again. A while back we had a conversation about our similar head units. I am putting another question out there I am hoping you might be able to help me with. It took a while but I have discovered that my music, all on a 32g micro sd card with still a third of unused space, is not being all played by the unit. When I scroll down the folders in alphabetical, it only goes to the Js. I can find no other means on the unit to search out information. I am thinking that perhaps the player cashes the songs in its memory and does not have the room. Looking for info on this unit that might clear this up. Don't really want to update with a new one unless I have to as this one works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
