Microtech makes some w/o the glass breaker:
Microtech 702-10 Hera OTF AUTO Knife 3.125" Stonewashed Double Edge Dagger Blade, Black Aluminum Handles - KnifeCenter

I have a Heretic, and love it.
Heretic Knives Manticore S OTF AUTO Knife 2.55" Elmax Battle Worn Two-Tone Double Edge Dagger Blade, Black Aluminum Handles - KnifeCenter - H024-8A
That one's 2.55" (the 'S' model), but they make a 3" (the 'E' model, which I have) and 3.7" (X). They have a glass breaker, but it's a small ball bearing. The maker is the son of Anthony Marfione.

If you can get past the glass breaker on their Ultratech and other $300-ish knives, though, you can't really go wrong with a Microtech. I dislike their current practice of not defining the steel they'll ship, but I called Knife Center and they said they'd confirm which steel before you purchase, if you like.

That’s the kind of friends I usually end up with. I’m kinda used to just not drinking the cool aid

What fun is arriving at any destination if you don't also enjoy the meandering journey to get there. Plenty of talk about knives, and the various tangents and rabbit holes we go down while thinking and talking about knives.

If you think this thread useless, then you probably want to avoid the Toyomafia thread. It's about stickers. Sometimes. But right now, pants are optional.

If you have your heart pointed at the Infidel - and why wouldn't you - I'd urge you forego purchasing your 2nd choice and wait until you can get the shiny gem you really want. Most especially if you aren't a person who collects knives, and this one will be your EDC.

It might not matter to you, and if you intend on carrying in the sheath it won't matter period; but the top-mounted trigger will be against your thigh when it's in your pocket. I carry in pocket, and that element helped sway me toward a side-mounted trigger over a top-mounted trigger.

But the Infidel sure is a sexy knife.

I sort of feel like most of the recent stuff in this thread would be better suited for the juvenile interactions we’ve become accustomed to in that “0th3R” thread. And I can’t shake the feeling that somehow, it’s all my fault….
