Anyone deal with newer leer and trucknamerica? Very unhappy about the quality, having issues with the cap and the they are pushing blame on my truck and refusing ti look at the cap itself. Suggestions? About ready take it off do for sale by owner and cut my loss at this point.

What is exactly wrong with the quality and issues with the cap?

A lot if times leaking is from installing and not the cap itself but without seeing it impossible to really help.

Leave a shitty review on google or something. Make sure to include a warning that people shouldn't go there. !!!MOST IMPORTANTLY USE CAPITAL LETTERS AND EXCLAMATION MARKS ON BOTH ENDS!!! Also include something in there like "Buyer beware" or "do business here at your own risk". Only rate one star, regardless of any positive aspects of the transaction. One star is EXTREMELY important. Companies will tolerate 2 star. They'll respond to resolve your issue, attack you by saying your truck is shit and you're being unfair for blaming them or not respond at all.

So basically, they either work on your issue, or you permanently damage them.

The issue is probably at least partially with Leer. I'm still waiting for them to send my dealer the right seal for my door to replace the one that's coming unglued and leaking. They sent one a while back but it was the wrong style.

I’ll just say that my mom purchased a new Honda ridgeline this year and then went right to the local canopy dealer and ordered a canopy. Got the canopy about three weeks later (was supposed to take multiple months, who knows how that worked out) and it hasn’t stopped leaking yet. Canopy and truck both are less than 6 months old. Seems to me that the dealers here are pretty crappy (as with most dealers). Just my humble opinion.

how long ago did you buy it? There should be a warranty. And if its within that window give it back to the dealer and ask for a refund. Tell them you'll pay the $150 restocking fee. I did that when they sent me the wrong cap. Leer is notorious for having leaking windows. Especially if you go with the Sliding windoors.
