I stopped and picked up my newest mod today. Rain X windshield wipers! So weird how they were checked off as good condition like a week ago during my service… but started streaking a few days ago.
Also wtf Auto zone!! No parts catalog by the wipers? Now I have to wait in line to talk to the parts guy? Lame. Anyway I can see again so that’s cool.

Same here. I have lots of wiring (cameras and lights/switches) I need to get done, but not until the weather gets better.

    Some.
Yup, I've got a roof rack waiting to be installed along with holes in the roof for wiring for CB, VHF, lights all through a deck seal. Plus I need to drop the headliner to put in sound deadening.

Got a huge pile for the Sequoia! I've got a run of days off in about 3 weeks, planning on taking up the garage for a few days. Looking forward to the wrenching time.
Which reminds me, I need to get a list of torque specs for everything I'm doing.

I'll research this but if someone knows offhand, what suspension components do you want to torque with the wheels on the ground? I'm thinking UCA bolts? LCA cam bolts? Sway links?
It might say in my trusty ol' Chilton book, but I'm just thinking out loud...

Same here although I did manage to swap out my headlights a few days ago during an hour long break in the weather. It started drizzling on me just as I started the second headlight.

Still waiting on ditch lights and the light bar for the hood bulge from BD to show. I have the Trigger 4 plus system to install for those lights. Besides that I have a tailgate seal, lights to illuminate the running boards, color match handles, and laminX pieces for the door handle area. Still need to paint the Platinum badge and remove or spray the GoRhino logo on the running boards. Also waiting for the temperature to rise so the adhesive on my tailgate seal and Velcro for my bed rugs can do their job.

I do have some interior stuff from AJT I could install though. Hmm…

Just jumping in here, but it depends on what work you’re doing.
If the rear suspension is involved you absolutely need to have the weight down on the ground when you torque the shackle bolts.

    Feel free to jump in!
Yeah, isn't the thought you would deform bushings once the weight is on the ground? Torqueing with the weight down would maximizes the life of the bushing.

Sort of. You want them to be ‘neutral’ when torqued. Equal between compression and extension. Does that make sense?

Ditto. Add me to the list. Got a Opt7 tailgate light and truck won’t fit into the garage. Being 14 degrees outside I think I’ll wait to try to install.

2 more inches last night. Total accumulation is 14” of snow! If Christmas Day had been 4 degrees colder, we’d have over 2’. I’ve had to clear around the gate 4 times to make sure I could get it open in an emergency. Power was out for hours both last night and the night before, but came back on before morning.

Wish we had more snow. We got another farting last night. Just enough to warrant clearing the driveway but not enough to add to our total. Still in the 4-5” range.

Not too big a deal if it’s out. The house is all propane. The tank is 500gal. I tapped a T into the line feeding the house and ran it to the 10kw backup generator. We could probably go several months before we had a serious problem. Both freezers are full of food and we’ve still got loads of potatoes, carrots, squash and rutabaga from the summer garden

Wow! That's awesome! A generator and propane tank are on my "to get" list (if I stop spending money on the Tundra and Jeep).

It just started snowing again, over here. At this rate, I might catch up to you. I have right at 12" so far.

I just got quotes to get one installed at our place. A Generac tied into our propane line. Quote was $11-14k not including getting a new propane meter and running power to the panel. Nucking Futs!

Whoa! That's insane! I'm an electrical engineer, so hopefully I can get it for a little less, and do all the wiring myself. But I'm sure the propane tank set up will probably be just as expensive as your quote.

i just looked at the quote again. The $11.2k price was the 7.5kW with 8 circuits. The 10kW/16 circuits was $14k and the 14kW/16 circuits was $15.8.

That’s fully installed and tied into my panel. But pretty sure they’d have additional wire and pipe add-ons.

That just seems NUTS!! I'm going to ask my buyer to price out the 14kW Generac, when she gets back from vacation next week. I'm curious to see how much mark-up that company is putting on it.

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
I got one similar to this, from Amazon, but it was dual; propane/gas and cost less than a thousand 24DF5F92-CB45-4342-BD3A-75DC6D21F3BC.jpgI did the wiring and propane line myself (propane runs, here in Oregon are supposed to be done by a ”certified” installer, I’m not)
I bought a 10’x10,x8’ Conex with a roll up door for 3K delivered and mounted the generator in there on blocks. Ran the exhaust out a side wall and put a whirly vent on the roof and cut in a through louvre vent down near the floor. There’s enough extra room for our deep freezer, a stand up freezer and lots of shelves for stuff. I don’t think I have 5K in the whole thing
