I am based in Dubai, and have a 2020 Tundra crewmax with TRD offroad package. I have been toying with the idea to upgrade my stock headunit, which for me is very good, as I came from a single DIN CD player with bluetooth phone calls, old school with buttons.

But I would like to the ability to install my own apps on the headunit and use them for vaiorus tasks around my dual battery system, and some better offroad navigation system, I currently use a garmin montana 680. But would love the ability to download co-ordinates from the web, or tracks and just with a button presses have a track to follow.

So the branded units, which are stable and reliable, like Kenwood, Pioneer etc can't install your own apps from playstore, I am Samsung Android phone user as well, which defeats the purpose.

So the reputable Chinese brands for android headunits seem to Dasaita, joying and a few more, they all dont seem to be available here in Dubai, so I can order from aliexpress direct, and the suppport from the retailers that sell the chinese android units will be crap here anyhow, but I really need to know what are the issues that people face with their Dasaita's and joying's of the world.

A new option out now is this little android box, called the Cusp android box, plugs into the factory USB phone connection port and displays a full android OS with playstore, maps etc.

The only downside is that I will not have the abilty to install 4 cameras for 360 panorama display.

Your thoughts and ideas much appreciated

Yes I had a look, I am more lea in towards the floating screen solution, I prefer to nit mess with factory hack controls, and seems the Dasaita is more stable, unless I am mistaken.

Truck is running well now, no issues.
