Wondering how I would go about doing this to my truck. Doesn't seem like I can get the pro grill insert separately and I can't find it with the chrome surround..

Ok thanks. Looks like MC Auto Parts might be closed indefinitely but I’ll keep an eye out.

The older TRD grille is sold attached to the grille surround. Sparksparts or any toyota dealer can get you one. If you want to keep the chrome surround, the grille is held in place with some tabs and a few bolts, you can swap the TRD unit to your chrome surround.

Does anyone know if the TRD Pro grille should be painted if I wanted to keep the matte black? I'm worried the plastic would sun fade, not sure if it's meant to be painted. Also, it looks like the word "Toyota" is painted silver. Not sure if that's "black" stock and requires paint. Thanks.

the bezel is painted but the insert is an unpainted matte aside from the "toyota"
