I really wonder what the price is going to be ! After seeing the price of the lift it could get real expensive depending which trim and options. A Limited with Offroad and lift before hybrid in Canada would be $67,899.00 before taxes. Add $5k for the lift and you're at $73k ! Add hybrid and ??? Lol

My deposit’s down for a Limited, TRD Off-road, Crewmax, 6.5’ bed. Hanging on for a little bit to get hybrid pricing and numbers. I’ve told my dealer I’m open to most colors and possibly other options.

I was originally thinking Pro which I put a deposit on back in Aug. I had put a deposit on the Platinum first then changed my mind. That was before any pricing came out. Lately I've been thinking Platinum but by the time you put the lift kit on its almost $80k before Tax in Canada and non hybrid. The last time I spent that much on a vehicle was my 2016 Tesla Model S in 2018. I sold it this summer.
Maybe a Limited with Lift Kit. How long will it take for the aftermarket crowd to come up with Lift or Levelling options I wonder ?

yeah, I’ve been told that US dealership get max 2 Pro’s each, and the ones I talked to were all marking up like crazy. 10-20k.

Platinum doesn’t allow TRD Off-road, which is want for the rear locker. So many choices but in the end I only wanted a Limited or SR5, and the Limited has better seats

Yea I figure a Pro is going to start at $70k USD add a few options and dealer markup and you are easily at $85k USD which in CA you can add just about 10% to that for tax and licensing and now you’re at $93.5k USD - which is super crazy but a very realistic number!!

Makes me (and my bank acct) really appreciate my way under $60k USD out the door ‘21 TRD Pro that much more…

Just put an order in for a 2022 1794 Edition. Moving from a 2016 Tundra SR5 TSS 4x4 CrewMax.

I was told by my dealer they get 3 or 4 a year. I'm at the front of the line but may let someone else take it

4-way manual adjustable vs 8-way power-adjustable , which I think isn’t an option for SR5. But maybe I missed something.

Every single thing is different in Canada. Usually for the worse. You can’t hardly inform a person without someone saying ya but in Canada we use sugar packets in our rear diffs. Because the queen had a fever dream again. :santa2::santa2:

Let's not get into a passing match over US and Canada. We all have something in common, so if you're here you probably love Toyota Trucks ! Let's just concentrate on why we're here and help educate each other on them !

I'm feeling you on TPB.... decent!
But why TF did you forget Rush?

No offense, living near the Canadian border, I feel no urge to immigrate northward, and I don't worry about my son's safety in school.

But, Canada is decent. And, Nissan offers better choice of trims for the Frontier in Canada.

I needed a truck asap to replace my totaled Tundra. I had been calling every dealer in Texas looking for a white Platinum or 1794. Almost everyone told me they were a month or more out.

So tonight I bought a 19 with 40k miles to drive until the Pro’s are released. Got a good enough deal on it that I’ll be able to trade it back in and not lose more than a few hundred dollars.

So eventually, a it’ll be a white TRD Pro for me. And I’ll drive the doors off of it.

I think the Ramboxes are an awesome idea, wish those were available on all trucks. I wonder if they just don't want people complaining when they stop opening or latching closed if the bed fenders get a little banged up later in life.

I wouldn't hold your breath on relief from the chip shortage. From what I've heard it will likely go into early 2023 and since a ton are coming from China I kind of wonder if they won't half step export ramp-ups or price gouge just to aggravate western economies.

between the Platinum and 1794 I'd go for the Platinum. The black chrome trim looks so good (dark chrome like on nightshade trims or Lexus Fsport trims)

Ohhh good point! I bet you can't put a bed cover of any kind on it if you have those boxes. Still be nice if there were fender boxes of some kind; so much wasted space in there seems like. The 70s Fords had lockable tool boxes built into one side of the bed. the typical one didn't have nearly as much storage as the ramboxes, but you could put some jumper cables and a basic set of tools in there.

Congrats on holding off the cancer; I have a good friend who had a terrible heart attack and bought a Tundra right after, had been wanting one 10 years. Tomorrow is definitely not promised.
I think I'd be bankrupt if I moved this many cars this quickly--glad you can afford it!
The Tacoma is going through a completely full redesign like the Tundra did, I think all new will be in like 2024 model. Probably lots of new tech and better gas mileage but they've been making the current model pretty much for over 10 years so I imagine it will go forever if you want it to. The 2022 TRD Pro will probably be hybrid only, I'm guessing, since it's not out yet, and hybrids aren't out yet. I doubt the TRD Pros will be in dealerships until March or April. Based on some of the youtube reviews, I probably wouldn't buy a new new new 2022 Tundra. I'd wait a couple years if that was the only factor. But then again sounds like you could come out ahead on the Tacoma and put that extra money into an extended warranty if you plan to keep the Tundra a long time--just in case any of the brand new design bugs come back to bite. If I can talk myself into spending that much money for a truck, I really want the platinum, but I'd be putting BFGs on it as soon as I left the dealership, those road tires look like they belong on a car to me lol

Lots more chrome on the 1794. The chrome on the Platinum is the black chrome, like what you see on a Lexus Fsport or a Toyota Nightshade vehicle. I really really don't like chrome, so I'd be all for the Platinum. The blue lights inside the platinum and blue stitching looks awesome. not everyone digs blue though I know. I actually like the 2021 orange-sh brown better than the 2022 brown, but I think I might be the only one lol.
