Hey all, hope everybody's holiday season is going good! I'm looking for some insight on the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W vs Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT for wet weather traction. I'm currently running the Cooper's in 285/75/18 (35s) and even though they're M&S rated they're not hooking up well in wet conditions. We've recently had some light snow, icy / wet conditions in Boise and the tires were spinning with hardly any throttle input (when I say icy I'm not talking about sheets of ice frozen solid, just basic stuff). I need to put the truck in 4wd just to get traction to pull out into traffic. I'm not looking forward to an entire winter of this.
Both the Cooper's and Falken's have good reviews and overall the Cooper's do great except in wet. Does anybody have experience with the Falken's in wet / winter conditions? I also had the the Cooper's in 33s and those had the 3 peak rating but they were no better.
    Are my expectations not realistic?
I'm not against putting sand bags in the bed but I keep hand toolboxes in there for work as well as a crossover box and bed space is a premium.
Anyhow, yall's wisdom is appreciated. Thanks.
