Hello all. I just purchased the bed rail system and attempted to install it in my 2019 SX. The bolts supplied with the kit fit perfectly in the holes of the header (front of the bed) but won’t screw into any of the holes on the sides of the bed. They’ll start in about one full turn and then stop. Has anyone run across this issue? Do I just need to buy a tap to open them up or perhaps use self tapping screws instead? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Geez, I did not have that issue at all. I am sure someone else will chime in, as so many people have them.

    Very little so far
Do you think there is rust in there stopping the bolt? Either tap or hit with penetrating oil and work the bolt in and out repeatedly to work through the rust

Probably has something in the holes that just needs reaming or threading out. My LineX was thick in them and it was simple to rethread it out of there.

Thanks for the replies, all. The holes were pre-drilled and threaded and did have a little rust in them that I’ve attempted to clean out but I’m still having issues. I’ll try re-tapping them tomorrow. Cheers.
