Have a family member with a 1996 four runner with 396,000 on it. They are wanting to do a new engine, or reman, new paint, headliner and interior and toss on some new wheels and tires. They are in Richmond VA. Does anyone know a solid shop capable of all of this rather than having to go to one place for one thing then another for the next, etc…..

I am in Richmond. I do not know of a shop that can do all of that. That would be an auto restoration shop and if you find a shop that can do it all, expect to pay big bucks$$$, so they are probably going to have to farm the work out individually.

Tires/wheels- discount tire on staples mill is great. Been a customer for years and the store has excellent service.
Mechanical- Va import services on horsepen rd. Specialize in Toyota and japanese. Have had them work on my Tundra and 4runner. Fair prices and I feel they are honest.
Paint- you are going to have to search. Plenty of good shops around but prices may vary greatly. Some shops only want to do repair work, not a repaint. Gonna have to call around and probably get some estimates.
Interior- The interior guys on Midlothian Turnpike. Not cheap but very good work. rebuilt my 4runner driver seat. Can do anything, work on high end and custom cars/boats from stock replacement, repair to full custom work.
