    Hey Guys,
My 21 limited tundra rear sliding crewmax window rubber was replaced bc the corner had detached under warranty. Long story short the tech at dealer did a horrible job the bottom corners pulled away due to the bottom not being seated all the way across and the tape pulled away from the cab taking some clear with it on both corners, the body shop had to respray clear and I asked them to put a whole new rear rubber seal in. They did a great job. Only trouble now is driving to work on our beat up roads the window has a rubber squeak, i have to crack the window and roll it up again to get it to stop. It’s that annoying high pitched rubber on glass sound. Is there a way to fix this? Is it a coating put on I need to clean that’s put on during the manufacturing process of making the seal? This truck has been thru it since I bought it. Dealer chipped the cab when I first bought it bc they hired new detailers. They also scratched the b pillar tape. All of which was returned to new, then on first inspection coolants leaks under the manifold were discovered. I’d like to refrain from going to the detailer as the last time someone took a dry rag to my gauge cluster clear plastic putting swirl mark scratches all over it.

thank you for any insight in fixing this!

    merry christmas

You can try talcum powder. That will keep the rubber from grabbing the glass or allowing friction between the glass and the rubber. Pull the rubber back, dab on some talc, and then wipe any resulting mess away.

if the issue is the seal, this should do it.
