Hello All, I have a 2018 double cab TRD OFFROAD. I'm wanting to purchase and install the TRD PRO suspension. Where is the cheapest place to purchase the suspension new? Sparks parts is the cheapest I've found. I would be willing to purchase a used setup but I'm not having any luck finding a low mileage set. I have my mind made up that this is the suspension I want to go with. I drove a 2014 TRD PRO with 60k miles. The truck had seen better days but the ride was to my liking. I understand the new TRD PRO suspension is now made by FOX.

My other question is. Can I install just the front coil overs for now? Essentially leaving the stock
Bilstein's in the rears until I purchase them in down the road. Will it sit level or will I need a shackle?

I have FUEL Wheels sitting. 18x9 +20 offset. I want to install the front coil overs, the wheels, and some BFG KO2's 35x12x18 for now and install the rears around income tax. Maybe a new leaf pack as well. My truck and the stock suspension currently have 47k.

    Thanks.

Side note. Just installed the Dirty Deeds 6in exhaust. This is as close to a muscle car sound as I could hope for. Very happy with it. I didn't install the resonator but I plan to. It drones hard at 35mph and 65mph.

Pro suspension is 2 inches higher in front, the rear is the same height as the other trims. So yes, you can install just the coilover and it will sit exactly like a Pro, level. You can wait on the rear shocks if needed, install them later. If you want to add some rake, use shackles 1-1.5, add a leaf, or if you tow/haul much look at RAS (active suspension for the rear).

Sparks is a good vendor, really not many deals on buying it new and even used Pro suspensions fetch a good price.

Just ordered the fronts. Will I need any hardware to install these or will the existing hardware work?

No new hardware needed unless your old stuff is nasty and jacked up.

For the longest time weren't they not selling the Pro suspension to anyone unless they had a Pro VIN #? I could be wrong, but I thought it had something to do with availability.

Please post a link to what you bought? Just curious because I don't even see it on Sparks any more. Thanks.

Pop right up for me in the Tubdra upgrade section.

The TRDPro suspension has not been VIN locked for quite awhile now.

While the TRDPro unit are good units there are far superior setups for less money.

I have read this multiple times, however I never found a thread that says "My new set up rides so much better than my TRD PRO suspension did." That and most of the kits that are "better" need a rebuild after 30-40k miles. For example a Kings set up. I don't want to deal with my truck to being down while the coil overs are being rebuilt. I drive my truck on the street. Pot holes and deep snow are the extent of what my truck will see. I would have bought a TRD PRO, shim, shackle, 35's and call it a day. But finding one that wasn't marked up thousands was impossible used or new. The ability to run lower offset wheels with 35's and ride quality was my number 1 concern. The ability to take a decent hit at speed was number 2. The PRO setup is ready to go out of the box. Bolt it up, get an alignment and your good to go. The other thing is you can test drive a PRO easily. Finding a truck with exact setup your looking to run and this person allowing you to drive their truck, not so much. So all you have to go on are reviews you read on the internet. My other consideration was a BDS 4in kit but cutting and welding the cross member is beyond my abilities. Lastly is if decide to sell the truck in the future, my truck has will have OEM upgrades. While it probably wont add to the value much, it wont be as difficult to find a private buyer.

The rebuild schedule for the TRDPro shock rebuild is 50k for 100% street use just like all the others.

The lower rebuild number are for those that off road.

The key is having someone local to do your rebuilds so you don’t have to send anything off. I kept my factory stuff to swap back in when rebuild time comes if my local guy is backed up.

If your running lower offset wheels and larger tires, I don't believe that would work for most of us. You would have to retain your stock suspension and your stock wheels and tires. Remove your after market equipment, install your stock suspension, wheels and tires. Get an alignment. Only to remove it and reinstall everything again in a few days. And get another alignment.

The TRD Pro I test drove was a 2014. It had 60k miles on. The truck had been thoroughly used for its intended purpose. I think if you drive your truck like I intend to, you will get more than 50k miles out of the suspension. Also this is the first I'm reading that the higher end brands don't need to be rebuild at 30k miles.
