Yeah I was raised in Detroit. Saw snow for the first time in 26 years last Christmas. I’ll pass

 

Propane can be pricey to heat your house out here. We’ve got natural for all our heated appliances, the furnace is a dual stage, not sure how much that helps because it’s not a 90%+ efficient

 

All this talk of snow, ice and heaters. I’m gonna go take a walk outside and sweat my ass off.

I got a really good deal on a Kuhl Law Hoody with the extra lining a few weeks back so I'm prepared. Everybody else in the house is screwed though. Running the heat pump is expensive...

Super jelly. I’m the one that gets yelled at when I turn the furnace on……..
I also have a small space heater in my bathroom; it’s great!!!!

 

I’m about to set one of mine up in my office. It get friggin cold in there!

 

In the future I’d love to add a wood burning stove to our living room. I guess I could run gas, but we will see. My mom heats the main part of her house solely with a wood burning stove, that has a fan with a heat exchanger. She also recently got this cool fan that spins on heat? Like she sets it on the hot surface and it does some magic and turns a little fan that kinda moves some air.

 

If the phrase "all the others is used", I don't know if I'd want that worn out catchers mitt for life. Idk....maybe I'm being shallow

 

Wood stoves are definitely a lot of work, but completely worth it IMO. The heat from wood is different from any other heat source for some reason, I have a woodstove upstairs, and a pellet stove downstairs, but I like wood better. Pretty sure I posted this pic before, but my fat cat agrees with me.
