A couple of rich twins (I refer to them as "Patty and Selma") bought an old optical shop that is surrounded by residential homes under the guise of it being a coffee shop with breakfast tacos and then some margaritas at night. The were able to convince the city to rezone the lot next to them to commercial so they could have a "patio." Then they put a stage in and, because of their "unrestricted permit", they were able to go full on bar with with a stage in their patio area. The building is maybe 300 square feet and the patio area is probably the size of a 2 car garage. They put in $10,000 speakers. Anyways, if your area is that size, should you be able to hear the music from 3 blocks away? Especially if you are surrounded by a residential area.

One of my neighbors had their windows rattling and they have two special needs boys that need to be in bed by 8. That doesn't happen much anymore.

I fucking hate it. I've been misled by so many people in my life that I hate being wrong or giving out any kind of misinformation so I'll research the hell out of whatever I need to talk about. In the Army, I had a persona that I would take on and that would help out a lot when we did Live Remotes - it was like the mic came on and I was "live." So it was kind of funny last night because I was nervous as shit until they handed me the mic - Mrs. Bandito was like "Holy shit!"

As long as it's 64 dB(A) at the property line or less, I'll be okay. Wait, you are talking about washing and waxing your truck, right?

That's just the at property line - it'll be much louder at the source so we'd be fine.

That's been my point. That and trying to get across to people that if it's 65 dB(A) at the nearest receiving property line which is 30 feet away, depending on speaker placement, it'll be over 90 to 100 dB(A) at the source (the speaker). Nobody that supports the bars seems to understand sound drops with distance. They just assume it has to be 65 at the source.

And when you can only fit 40 people comfortably in your venue, why the hell are you playing it so loud that they have to wear earplugs and people can hear it clearly 3 and a half blocks away?

You need to be concerned about dB "C" violations which ususally relates to excessive noise. "A" is speech sound pressure. Pretty much normal. Quite low sound pressure. We calibrate noise source and sound pressure test equipment. You have A weighting, B and C weighting, CCTT, etc.

One of my college roommates kept using my contact saline solution. I didn't have a lot of money and he wouldn't buy his own. There was some kind of cleaning kit thing for them and you'd soak them in some kind of peroxide with a disk that would slowly turn the peroxide to saline or something. Anyways, I saw that he used my saline again to soak his contacts. I dumped out the saline and filled his case with the peroxide.

I remember the screaming, that he starting wearing his glasses all of the time and had super bloodshot eyes for about a week.

Unfortunately, I don't think our PD will go for it. I planned on bringing it up to the Police Chief but right now, I'm just trying to get them to lower the "A" limits. C would be the bass, right? The other problem is that no towns around here seem to measure "C" and our town doesn't seem to want to be the noise ordinance trend setters.

Sounds like when we sprayed icy hot on our team mates cup for pissing us off(prob hanging the bats on the fence or hitting them against his cleats and chipping the bat). He quit after that

Serves him right! I hated that shit. Don't mess my bat up with your cleats!

Had a guy that thought it was cool to walk around naked after a shower in the locker room and snap his towel at younger classmen. It was over when he snapped me. I dipped the end of my towel in water and snapped him so hard on the dick it frayed my towel end. Not only did he cover up after that, he never snapped a younger classmen again.
